Matt, as Lendlease’s General Manager of Student Housing, oversees Lendlease’s strategic entry into the on-campus student housing development space in the US. He has been a critical player in successfully guiding and informing the organization’s approach to student housing development while placing emphasis on the opportunities and issues that impact American colleges and universities across the country. He provides invaluable student housing financing and delivery experience and extensive experience in the broader P3 space. Lendlease was recently selected as the preferred developer for Vanderbilt University’s 600-bed, $100+ million graduate and professional student village project in Nashville, Tenn.
Prior to joining Lendlease, Matt served as Senior Vice President of Development for Servitas where he led projects ranging from $25 million to $370 million (400+ beds to 3,400+ beds). While at Servitas, Matt developed over 5,000 beds valued in excess of $600 million, including Park West at Texas A&M University, one of the largest single-site P3s in the US.
Additionally, Matt was a developer with Hunt Development Group. While with the company, he developed several privatized military housing P3s consisting of over 2,000 single family homes valued in excess of $400 million. His broad and diverse P3 experience provides a unique perspective for colleges and universities.
Matt holds a Master’s in Business Administration from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
