Tom Adelson

Biography

Tom Adelson is the vice president of innovation at The University of Tulsa. Included in his broad scope of responsibilities are the design and implementation of the university’s online program strategy.

Prior to joining TU, Adelson served as the Oklahoma Secretary of State and later in the Oklahoma Senate, representing Tulsa’s District 33. He authored legislation to improve access to health insurance for all Oklahomans and expand statewide drug and mental health courts. Following his public service, Adelson consulted for the Department of Defense on proposed health care benefit reforms for active-duty military and their families.

Adelson earned his undergraduate degree from Stanford University, his J.D. from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law, and his master’s degree in health science delivery from Dartmouth College.
