Dr. Susan Arendt is a Professor, Inaugural Director Iowa State Online, and University Faculty Fellow for Online Learning at Iowa State University, where she has been for 17 years. Her research area is focused on food service management and food safety. She has more than 85 peer-reviewed manuscripts published, 130 scholarly presentations, and has secured more than $1.7 million in external funding to carry out research projects. She has served as a journal editor for the School Nutrition Association. Dr. Arendt is a fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and has received several awards in the following areas: research, journal manuscript reviewer, and mentoring junior faculty.
