Biography

Scott Chadwick, Ph.D. serves as Chief of Corporate Partnership Acquisitions at Maryville University. This business unit at Maryville is designed to listen to companies, understand their upskilling and talent gap needs, and work with them to design non-degree training programs specifically designed to help the companies deliver on their value proposition. Scott started his career as a consultant for Arthur Andersen, was a balance sheet analyst for Firestone, and designed financial software for Sprint. After earning his PhD in communication, focusing on conflict and trust, Scott taught at Oregon State and Iowa State Universities. Scott served as an academic administrator at Creighton University, Canisius College, and most recently as Provost and Chief Academic Officer of Xavier University. In those positions his work centered on implementing metrics to demonstrate student learning outcomes; developing new products, including online learning systems; establishing two-way corporate partnerships, designing and creating the Xavier University Center for Innovation; and focusing on operational right sizing and revenue generation. Most recently, Scott was the head of operations at EquityNet, a fintech start-up, and the Chief Operating Officer at America Achieves, a national non-profit focused on creating ecosystems to solve workforce development needs. Scott has worked with and served on numerous boards, including serving as Chair of the Greater Cincinnati Consortium of Colleges and Universities.
