Dr. Lake Lambert III became the 16th President of Hanover College on July 1, 2015. His service follows Dr. Sue DeWine, who was named President Emeritus upon her retirement.
Dr. Lambert’s leadership has been a catalyst for new program development at Hanover. During his tenure, the college has reestablished the Bachelor of Science degree, launched new academic majors in engineering, redesigned the core liberal arts curriculum, developed career pathways and institutional partnership serving students in nursing and accounting, and started an intercollegiate swimming team. The college also launched a new graduate professional program in Physical Therapy that is Hanover’s first graduate degree offering in more than a century.
With the college’s Board of Trustees, Dr. Lambert and his leadership team are currently developing a new strategic plan: Hanover Stands Above – Preparations for a Third Century. The plan will guide the college through its bicentennial in 2027 and provide the foundation for a strong future. Hanover Stands Above will call for continued programmatic innovation, student success enhancements, as well as numerous facility and technology improvements.
