Tim serves as Treasurer of Virginia Commonwealth University, where he is responsible for the cash and investments, debt management, banking operations, cashiering, disbursements, accounts receivable, and collections activities of the University.
Tim has also been involved in the negotiation of successful public-private partnership transactions for VCU, including capital project P3 and OPM transactions. Tim’s finance career began at Morgan Keegan (now Raymond James), where he worked as an analyst/associate in the firm’s Public Finance Investment Banking department.
Prior to becoming Treasurer of VCU, Tim also worked for 9 years in the University Treasurer’s Office at Virginia Tech, where he ultimately served as the Director of Debt Management.
Tim holds his B.S. and M.B.A. degrees from Virginia Tech, and he and his wife Ellen live in Bon Air, Virginia with their two sons, aged 12 and 9.
