Steve Fireng is chief executive officer of Keypath Education. Mr. Fireng has morethan 25 years of postsecondary education experience, having led both institutional and corporate teams to capitalize on changing student preferences and marketplace trends.

As group president of Career Education Corporation’s University Group, which included American InterContinental University and Colorado Technical University, Mr. Fireng grew 100 percent online degree programs and dozens of site-based campuses into a portfolio with more than $600 million in revenue and 31,000 students over a 5 year period.

As chief executive officer and president of Embanet Compass Knowledge Group, now Pearson Embanet, Mr. Fireng partnered with top USNWR-ranked universities such as USC, Boston University, and Vanderbilt to launch fully online degree programs. These partnerships entailed funding, marketing, admissions, retention, course design and development, and technicalsupport. Mr. Fireng’s teams achieved industry-leading graduation rates and generated new and sustainable revenue streams for university partners.
