Biography

As Chief Strategy Officer, Lily is responsible for aligning Blackboard’s business to industry and customer needs. In this role, she oversees key functions including corporate strategic planning, global industry strategy, portfolio and platform strategy—and ensures that Blackboard continues to build innovative solutions that help our clients succeed.

Lily has over 15 years of experience architecting and driving large scale, strategic technology transformation initiatives primarily in the education media sectors. Prior to joining Blackboard, Lily led National Public Radio’s (NPR) cross-functional strategy and partnerships team that spearheaded the organization’s digital transformation and led some of NPR’s most innovative content and strategic partnerships.

Prior to NPR, Lily led strategy and technology transformation projects for Deloitte Consulting’s technology practice. She managed engagements for many of Deloitte’s largest cloud technology clients, including Disney, Dell, Teach for America, College Summit, American Red Cross and multiple departments of the United States Government.

Before Deloitte, Lily was a multimedia producer for a variety of educational production entities, including PBS, MIT and Harvard.

Lily has served as an adjunct professor at American University’s Kogod School of Business for several years and is currently an active member of the university’s CIO council.

Additionally, Lily is a strategic advisor and board member for multiple charitable and technology organizations and has been recognized for her commitment to the advancement of women in technology and leadership.

Lily holds a Bachelor of Science degree in media production from Boston University and a Master of Business Administration degree in technology management from American University.
