Gerald Hunter

Biography

Gerald Hunter is a visionary leader with 25 years of broad experience in higher education finance, strategic planning, and business operations. He is currently serves as the Vice President for Finance and Administration of Norfolk State University.

Previously, Mr. Hunter served as Vice Chancellor for Finance & Administration and Chief Financial Officer of Winston-Salem State University and, before that, Chief Financial Officer of Antioch University. Earlier in his career, Mr. Hunter held senior administrative roles at Kentucky State University, Northern Kentucky State University, and Murray State University. 

Mr. Hunter received his BS in Accounting from Knoxville College, an MBA from Murray State University, a PhD from Hampton University, and completed the Management Development Program (MDP) at Harvard University.
