Biography

As an influential scholar in student housing design, Dr. Chris Heasley is among one of a few researchers currently exploring student outcomes relative to P3 and on-campus student housing. Not only has his research been endorsed through grant funding from the Association of College and University Housing Officers – International, but his recent co-authored publication titled, Completing the cycle: What factors should campus housing leaders consider as they strive to prove the link between hall design and student success, received the 2016 ACUHO-I Robert Cooke Article of the Year Award. Dr. Heasley’s work is grounded in a mixed-method approach, a practice that fuses both quantitative and qualitative research design, and is informed by visits to more than 80 institutions of higher education across the United States and Canada and more than 18 years served as a practitioner in higher education across a myriad of institutional types.
