Biography

Shawn T. Daley serves as the Vice President and Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer at George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon. In this capacity, he plays a key role in steering the university’s strategic initiatives and fostering business development opportunities.

Before his tenure at George Fox University, he served as the Chief Innovation and later EVP at Concordia University in Portland, Oregon. His role encompassed supervising cross-functional teams aimed at enrolling students across various program formats and facilitating creative tasks to effectively market these programs. He also functioned as the lead partnership officer with national, regional, and local partners. Daley’s earlier roles include serving as an Associate and Assistant Professor of Education at Concordia, where he taught courses in secondary-level teacher preparation to both undergraduate and graduate students. He also held the position of Director of Innovation at St. Mary’s Academy in Portland, Oregon and was a high school teacher for 10 years. 

Shawn holds a PhD from Michigan State University in Educational Psychology and Educational Technology, as well as Master’s degrees in History and Education. He lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife, Cadie, and his daughter Norah (having sent two adult children, Fiona and Griffyn, already out in the world).
