Biography

Julie Skolnicki is a Senior Managing Director of University Partnerships for Greystar, leading on-campus development, acquisition, and long-term management partnerships.  Julie provides oversight of university public-private partnerships (P3) for Greystar Development, Property Management and Investments. In addition to P3 oversight, she advises Greystar’s student leadership team and investment committee on the higher education and student housing market.  She has executed over $5 billion in mixed-use university projects during her career, and currently oversees a $2 billion on-campus development pipeline. Julie joined Greystar in 2018 through the company’s acquisition of student housing leader EdR, where she served as senior vice president of university partnerships. Julie’s career includes 20 years of university development experience at EdR, Brailsford & Dunlavey (B&D), the University of Cincinnati, and Turner Construction.  Julie is actively involved with student housing and public-private partnership initiatives for The Society for College and University Planning, The Association of College and University Housing Officers-International, and The National Association of College and University Business Officers, and she is a frequent speaker at industry events.  Julie received her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Cincinnati. She is an Ohio‐registered architect, a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional, and a Registered Educational Facility Planner (REFP). In 2022, Julie was elevated by The American Institute of Architects (AIA) to its College of Fellows.  This prestigious honor celebrates individuals who have made significant national contributions to the profession and society.
