Gregory Finkelstein joined Tyton Partners in 2020 and serves as a Founder and Managing Director for Tyton Partners’ Center for Higher Education Transformation, working across Tyton’s investment banking and strategy consulting practices at the intersection of institutional strategy development, the online education market, and innovative partnership models. Greg operates as a principal consultant and is focused on advising colleges, universities, and ed-tech companies. Outside of his role at Tyton, Greg also currently serves on the Board of Trustees for a prominent national non-profit university.
Collectively, Greg has nearly three decades of higher ed experience. Prior to joining Tyton, Greg held executive leadership team roles at two publicly traded ed-tech companies as the Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer at Zovio (NASDAQ – ZVO), an education technology services company, and Managing Director and Senior Vice President for Wiley Education Services (NYSE – JWA), a multinational publishing company.
Greg has also served as an Executive in Residence for the Education Opportunity Fund (EOF) at Sterling Partners, working with several partner organizations in EOF’s library. During his time at EOF, Greg was elected Chairman of the Board of Academic Program International (API), a leading experiential learning partner to educational institutions, supporting the study abroad journeys of students from over 400 institutions in 25 countries.
Greg was also a co-founder of two market leading businesses – a prominent OPM (Deltak) and a first generation bootcamp business (The Beacon Institute). During his time leading Deltak, Greg was also part of the executive leadership team that oversaw Rasmussen College for nearly a decade.
Greg began his career in technology as a network engineer for several companies including USConnect – Miami. Greg received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tulane University.
